Well, i made it out to Trout Lake early Saturday morning and within minutes had my eyes on the rare visitor to our parts.
A small scattering of birders and bird photogs were already there and i joined the fun.
It wasn't a long visit as i had things that needed doing later in the day but all in all it worked out pretty good.
I wish i had done a little better with the flight shots honestly but it started to rain a bit harder then and i decided to call it a morning.
I've seen some nice flight shots, M Tabac's in particular and Raymond's as well but you take what you get right?
This bird was my North American Lifer by the way, shot it in Iceland and Thailand in past so not an outright Lifer but still pretty special as Trout Lake and my teenage self and friends have a lot of memories of partying it up at that location, who knew that years later i'd be there for a gull
Thai Black-headed Gull (1st winter i believe)
Icelandic Black-headed Gull
Thanks for looking
